The last many of years I have been able to photograph The Rutland's forth of July. I try to bring the bring forth of July to everyone. This year i was able to bring a few parts of the Forth of July. The humid weather slowed me this year plus working my full time job took a ton out of me plans to document of this years. I was able to make a some Photos of the fireworks and the Parade. This was a week long festival this year which was great and I hope everyone was able to enjoy this years 4th. This year it will in a random order for the images
I Found myself getting back into sports photography this winter. I was asked to take photos by one of the athletes because i seem to photography her younger brothers play sports. So I made here a promise that i would come to a few game as long as i had time to make it to their games. I took more of these young ladies playing a game that they loved. they all competed to the highest of levels that middle school team can produce. It was amazing to see their mothers, fathers and classmate to support them all.
I had a great chance to head to a town hall Meeting with the senior Senator for the great state of Massachusetts. The Senator Elizabeth Warren was in the town of Holden MA. She spoke about headline issues that have been in the news. The Senator loved the crowd and the crowed loved the Senator back. I also had a chance to photograph the congressman of Worcester county.
I want to give the senators Staff to give me some access with the press. hope you all enjoy these photographs.
I was super pumped to work with Alex I have known him since he was a kid. Now he is a high school senior. We took the time to create his senior portraits.
We all can't wait to see Alex take the next big step to gradation and heads off to college. These are some of the photographs him that we created.
Alex we all are excited to see you walking across the stages at the wachusett graduation this spring. It was a great pleasure

I have been finding some time to photograph a co-workers band in my spare-time. It is a good time for me to just photograph things that are out of my elements. I'm using some of my tool from my past to document them for three concert. I have been inspired to make Black and White with these Photographs. Sixties and Seventies music photographers feel to all of these images have that classic feel to them. Here are the photo from their concerts.
As this year comes to an end, I have so many amazing photographs to share. It has been a pleasure to photograph everyone. Thank you for being my models to work with as I capture moments and create memories.
The Rutland Forth of July weekend is an exciting time. One of my favorite times is photographing this event and catching up with old and new friends. I always use this weekend to do a documentary; to capture the moments as they are happening.
Family and friends
Whenever I have friends and family vist from out of town, I often try to take photographs and make portraits to remember the special moments. When my cousin and aunt visited from out of town for a night, I took took some photographs of them. Once special session I had was doing a family friend, Mr.Deane's father’s photographs in front of the plane that he flew in the Korean conflict. It was powerful to see that look into the past. I also get a lot of satisfaction out of candid moments, because they capture a moment and can elicit so many good memories.
Doing more senior photography
Being a Senior in High School is one of the most important times in a young person's life. One key moment is the Senior Portrait. This is often the last formal photograph a person ever takes. It freezes the student in time, a memory of one of the best periods of their life.
Photographs are also important for adults looking for a fresh start in a new career, as well as people who want to enter the acting or modeling field.
My first goal, was and always is to give an amazing experience to everyone who steps in front of my camera. I hope to make people comfortable and take my photos in a way to capture the feelings that they want to remember. My second goal is just treat everyone special when it comes to capturing their image. I want people to continue thinking of me when they are planning for events that they want captured.
I am looking forward to photographing many things in 2017; weddings, seniors, and everyday life.
I can’t wait to ring in the new year it will be bigger and better then 2016.
I was able to spend part of my day with these two. I got to meet them at their campgrounds where I spent creating these images. I was creating their stories of boyfriend and girlfriend. I was able to capture moments with them in their favorite place. They are a cute couple they love spending time with each other at the lake and at their campground.
Every 4th of July I spend my time in my home town photographing the event that is put on by the town. This years theme was "It's a Rutland thing." These are a few images from the 4th.
enjoy everyone.

The emotion is the most important thing to all my subject that I photographed. All of of tech skill with a camera is great but nothing with out randomness of people emotion. Enjoy everyone

Love working on Senior Portraits where we can be very creative with their Art work. It's not about going into a studio but it is about how the outside world looks with you the seniors look in it. We take amazing adventures in the surrounding city getting amazing images. It's all about what we can create.
Here are a few samples of seniors.
So lately i have been playing with the instagram. it has been a fun toy to use with my normal camera. It had the quick editing tools that can make old processed new again. Check them out

As we got to celebrate the nations birthday with friends and family. I go back to my home town of Rutland and I photograph some of the events and people of the weekend events. this year my theme was stars and stripes.
I had the great pleasure of working my aunt an uncle 30th wedding anniversary in Long Island, New York . The night was filled with great joy and fun. I was the official photographer for their anniversary these are some of the images that I captured of that night. Everyone was able to enjoy this evening and celebrating their 30 years of marriage. They had close friends and family to help celebrate their night. Here are some Images from this night hope you enjoy
Doing portraits have been something that i have been interested for a long while now. these set of images was photographer with a nikon D300s a sigma 70-300 lens. The studio set up was a black foam core board one wood board to support the foam core. I also used one off camera flash.
with a little creativeness I was able to make some nice photographs.
I still love photographing people up close. these three photographs was done in college. I am photographing this way still after college. I still approach it the same way. It all began with me asking if it was okay to take their portraits. The beauty of these photos was that they believed in the fact this will be amazing photos.

The holiday season is the time when we all come together. Sharing some good time with all the love ones. It slowly became more of a tradition that we spend more time with the friend that we grew up. This is just a highlight of time together.
I had a great chance to photograph Jeff and Nikki for their engagement session. We went to the West Boylston historical church which was a very cool at this location. Here is a few photos.
I had the great pleasure to be the photographer of an old high friend wedding in September. Blessed that Cassandra and Rudy asked me to be their photographer for their wedding day. So I want to share some of the moment that I capture of their wedding day.
I have wanted to photograph these three sisters for the past year. I was ask by Katie one of the sister to help them create an anniversary present for their mom and dad.
It would have been done last year, but instead of creating great portraits for them. I was deal with my car being broken into and all of my camera tools was stolen. So I lost the chance of photographing. This bummed me out for a long while because, I felt like let them down for that year.
I didn’t want these sisters to think that I forgot about their portraits. This time I was more prepared to make their images as great as possible. It became personal to me because, I was ask to do a job. I told them yes to their Portrait job. I want to make sure this time I had nothing would go wrong for this photo session. I felt like success when I completed their session. I tried to make sure we had fun and kept it as easy going as possible. As they let me into their circle as a guest for the hour I spent with them.
Here are a few of their images
I got to photograph Nichole Szatkowski. She was a great to work with and had very easy going personally. these are a few of my photographs from this session.
I had the pleasure of doing Kirsten Peterson senior portraits.
I final found worcide skate park. I wanted to check out the hype about this skate park what found was awesome street tags that amazing colors. I had joe help me by photographing his portraits
It always great to see someone tie the knot. Congrats to Bency and Hilda.
I'm always honored to photograph little kids because of the great variety of emotions that they give me. Before the session, I take time to get to know the child so that they feel comfortable with me taking their picture. This connection gives me a great chance to show who the child really is.
Through the many months of developing my style of photography, I have been able to discover what I really love creating. Freely photographing people in the moment allows me to see real emotion. Life goes by quickly, but this special time that I'm able to capture become images that parents can treasure for a lifetime.
Took sometime to shoot some photo that i want to do. My models where game to let me do anything creative with them. I was able to do some lifestyle shoot using black and white imagery.
These one had more of the traditional feel in one location but was able to still tell the story about them and make you feel the passion that they interact with one an another.
We use the park shack to get a different feel to give me a softer feel.
Took the time to shoot them doing the first meet up of them waiting and getting to see each other. the feeling of them not seeing each other many days.
Last Friday I went to visit an old College friend that I haven’t gotten to see for a long while. While in College she was always an outdoorsy person. So when we met up together we knew that mostly we would have an outdoor adventure and of course it we did. We had a nice hike in Leominster trails.
So I just posted three photographs that I just did over the weekend. Here is some of the challenges that me and the talent had. We both were inside a skate park that is being use all day everyday.
So the first challenge is to be able to stop everyone from just dropping in the section that we are in. which would disrupt people skate sessions where I had to remember I would to be quick with the shot but still slow enough to view the whole image that have in my mind.
The second challenge is that model sitting has to find his place on the wall. Do to the fact that the wall has spray paint on it. That made the wall of the skate park slick as can be for Body placement. This turned be a great hurtle that played in the direction that I could pose the model in this situation.
The third challenge was the lighting situation. While we inside the skate park bowl I place the model in the shade area, which help me, have even color to use in the post-production. The angles that I shot also help me control the light and as well as directing the model to get the best result.
Thank you

As a freelance photographer I always have to be ready all types jobs. I was able to do some headshot portraits the other day. i set my portable studio at my buddy Aarons place. it took a few minutes to set up the continues lights that I had. i use a white background and a black background also. this was some of my results.
this one i was able to shut off one of my continues light which allowed me to get some shading left side of his face.
I add turned both light on got even lighting on his skin tone. Also had a light behind the backdrop to help get distance between his body.the light help me do that mostly in a very tight area.
I had to make sure that i had my subject in focus. I would focus on his eyes that give you a key to see that person.
While using the my white backdrop. i had to play around with the shutter speed and the F-stops the light set up was still the same as the black backdrop. I had to remember that the reflection would throw my metering off.
I just randomly showed up to my friend Errin and Ryan’s house to say hi on a nice day. Their little man was having a ball being outside playing. So I grab my camera to take a few photos. I made sure that Gavin was able to do his thing with out me getting in his way. After a few minutes he forgot that I was there and I was able to capture this moments.
I didn’t have a ton of time to compose the images because I was in the process of capturing the emotions of Gavin. So I made sure to give myself enough room to make adjustments to get rid of distractions in the photos. I also made sure that I could photograph in the shade so I could get even lighting as much as possible. If we had to be in the sun I made sure that we would not be facing the sunlight. I use the sunlight to backlight them and also as rim-light as much as could.
The best part of the day was just spending time with a friend from kindergarten and their kid. Creating these images are more fun to do for the friend that you have known since childhood because they will cherish the time they spent with you and their kid.
Thank you everyone that took the time to enter my first gift giveaway. I want to thank you all, but there can only be one winner for this giveaway. The Winner is Camella from the town of Spencer.
I will try to do another contest in the soon.
I was walking around the neighborhood. There was a factory that has been not running for many years. I walk around the factory to what was around it. To my surprise I saw some men working inside the factory. I saw that I could walk up to them and just talk to them for a few minutes.
I spoke to them they told me that they had been working at the this warehouse for about 2 years breaking down of the heavy equipments that are getting shipped to South America.
Over this last year I took photographs of everything. So now the hard part began choosing the top ten photographs. It was hard to pick the top ten for this year. I choose this because they had been meaning to everyone who saw them.

Audris Guerce
Hey everyone as you know that my camera’s and lens was stolen. These items are the tools of my trade as a photographer. So I am try to rebuild with getting new tools so I can go on with my craft of photography. It is more than a hobby it is a passion that I have been working on for the last 8 years. I earned my degree in photography I loved doing photography as much as I can. I use it to get people open up and start a conversation with everyone I meet.
My plan on rebuilding is like the kick starter. It is gear to everyone that has seen my work and would help support me with my journey. The pledge that you would make is to help me buy a replacement camera and lens. This would help me continue making good work to share to all of you.
The goal is to raise $700 just to replace the camera with everyone’s help I know that we can make this happen.
Thank you
Audris Guerce
*Please note that metal print takes about 2 week to be arrive.
I will drive these gifts to you if you live in the Worcester county or with in 20 mile of Worcester
I was ask to help photograph a basketball tournament at the local park in the City of Worcester, Ma. The organizer of the tournament Christian Ramos
On Thursday I went to an art gallery for are closing in the R.I. State The Atrium Gallery. When I was their I was able to see the other artist work. Their work was outstanding. We got an award from the Governor R.I. Lincoln Chafee for are work in the artist. here are some photos. Most of our work was seen in the day time by the public.
So about a month ago I had the opportunity to photograph a couple. This came out organically while I was just hanging out with a bunch of friend. Yes at the skatepark, which seems to be like ground hog day with every image I talk about for the most part. I try to create situations that involve many different elements.
While shoot this couple in the harsh sunlight I was able to use the concrete as my reflector to help give me some fill light to them. I also had to manage how I was going to balance their skin tone so they would have good exposures. Metering for the skin tone and the tee shirt did this for me. Much of this is being done in matter of second.
As I am photographing the couple I have to see the moment developing in front of me and also moving around to try to get different angle at the same time. I am giving them some direction as I see their moments created before my very eye.
The best is part of my job is get to see how their relationship is developing while capturing them in the moment.
the way we measure success in my family is never by how much money you will make. It is measured supporting yourself and your family. It is by finishing high school and college. This is the high standard is a collective all of our parents, cousin and friend that push us to reach the stars.
I was invited to show some of my Art work in the Rhode Island state house atrium galley. This is a great chance for many other people both young an old to view hard working artist work that they wound not normally see if it was not for the elective persona. They see the great value that art makes in every-one's lives. It is still very important that I we still show our work to the public. I want to take the time to thank the Sandwood's farms members that have invited me to show my work with there work to the State of Rhode Island. Here is the link http://www.arts.ri.gov/special/atrium/
The Artists from Art on the Farm are exhibiting their work at The Atrium Gallery at One Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02903
From May 20-June 20. Please join us for a closing reception on Gallery Night Closing Reception June 20, 2013 6:00-8:00pm
Please take some time out off your day if you are in Rhode Island to check the rest of the work
Last friday I had the chance to watch little league baseball. It reminded me of the time i played when i was younger to watch these young guy playing. These boy played of the fun of the game. All of these boys are just learning the basics of the game.
Yesterday i went to the local skate park. I was rolling around after fall for most of the day I just picked up my camera. when i notice that is was near sunset "aka" the golden hour which was the best time to get some portraits. So i asked this senior in high school if i could take her portraits. i gave her minimal coaching. and this is what i got.
So yesterday I got the chance to photograph girls cheerleading and it was pretty cool for showing up pretty late. With that being said seeing cheerleaders doing crazy athletic stunts that I saw. Many of the older team had great timing while doing stunting. I was really impressed with these teams. I saw this kids giving it their all for team and how the other teams supported each other. The last three are abstracts photo that i let a full sec go by to get this photos. The iso was at 200 and this where the results that i got with all of the motion blur.
I took a trip to the local skatepark to see how deep the snow was inside the park. I got a nice little shock when i saw my buddy Josh shoveling out the skatepark. The nice weather help out while he was shoveling the park. A few people can out to help in shove out as much as they could. The spring is almost here mostly when every action sports kid is trying to may trip to the outdoor skatepark. much of the work was by the old guys that know the meaning of hard work. Many of the young kid would come in the park and then would leave. Think that the park had been cleaned out by natural sunlight. Most of this younger guys are not built like the older guy. The older guys roll up their sleeves and do what it take to get the park clean so that they ride for the fun of riding once again.
Last night I went back to shoot more basketball. I decided to only photograph with only my 70mm to 210mm lens. This force me to a narrow view. I was pleased to see that i was able to move around the gym to find my shot's. I also focused on the other team that was not my brothers team. It was very insightful will shooting these guy, because their bodies are moving in different way with artistry. This was a very hard fought game everyone had to earn their basket. while the black team had only six player they played till the finale buzzer went off.
i want to take the time to thank Amy and Brian to invite me to Celebrate Gareth's 2nd birthday today. It was the best time because i got to see old friends. this was an amazing time because we all got to see how Gareth is getting bigger and how Ellary is being great older sister to Gareth. They put smile on everyone's face because the are awesome kids and i am proud to know them and their family. It amazing to know how much time has past since we all have seen each other. Thank you Amy and Brian letting us kids run wild in your home. Hope we can have more time to enjoy each other together.
I finding out that we will have another storm coming this weekend once again. so we'll be shoveling out the driveways and homes. The best part of New England that is all the storms weather. This is the greatest place some days but it is hard living also. so sat nite lets get to work.
I am slowly getting more Inquires about Photographic shoots. I know its not the short term i am looking at but the long term. so Hopefully I will last for this marathon and not fade out but get stronger.
So yesterday I was able to go to jury service wish was awesome not really. I was able to finish that by 11ish. That was so boring and then i was Able to go get a new job for the winter which was a snow shoveler. This is going to be extremely fun and hard with this job but i think that it will help me get into shape. This will also help me earn money to upgrade my camera gears.
These Photo was many years ago. I got to meet them in my heyday of rollerblading dayz I still love skating and wish i could do some more skating photography with more action sports once again
So yesterday while i was shoveling my parent driveway I saw the next door neighbors playing on their Four wheelers. So over course i went over to see if I could take some portrait so them. To brake the ice i took a few of their grandfather so they could see the photograph. The kid were really cool about it me taking their photos. The first was Mike he was just sitting on the steps just relaxing. His sister Julia-anna also want to take the same photograph that her brother had took. She was super excited when i was taking her photos. After that i start to walk up the street to see how the storm going. I met this lady Michelle i got to talk to her and she told me the she was 15 when the blizzard of '78 and now she got to dig out of this one also. To love living in the in the northeast for this awesome snow-days.
A portrait does not have to be an image of a person face. A portrait can be a person head of hair. These is reason why took this photo, because the color their hair stood out in my eyes. She happened to stand near a big window that let a lot of natural light in and help to highlight the hair and it became the main focus.
A few months ago I was skating at my local skate spot. I saw this man panhandling I did pay him any attention. While I was skating I took a fall not a hard fall. He gave me the a little bit of a hard time and asked if I was ok. I was done after the fall. I put my skates away.
I walked to him and I ask if I could take his portrait. He was a guy that just hit a hard time. He was panhandling to help support himself and his wife while he was taking classes at the local college. He was taking computer science classes, so he could get back on his feet.
I was asked to go to church by my mother normally I’m not a church kind of guy. There is an always something that happens which is that I get ask to shoot photos for some event that was going. I was not very reluctant to even go but I knew that I should go.
Since I didn’t know I was going to photograph, I started to take photographs inside the service of the church groups it felt like the run of mill photographs that any would take. Than I got the AHA moment was tell these ladies that we would have to go outside in mild weather but had a just a nip of chill in the air. They did not like the idea of that one bit. I had to explain to them that it would work better than just to take a photograph indoors. I told that we all would be in the same weather together. As I was reluctant to go they had been reluctant to follow me, because they come from the warm islands of Haiti is was some thing that they deal with in the cold New England states. I promise them that I would the best photograph for them.
I was able to photograph some of the younger church members that also sing in the church. We had a good time working together. I almost got a beat down when I ask one of the young girls and guys had to face into the camera. We had a great time with the hour and half. I will love to work with them again. Thank you all PS I learn not to have any one girl jump in heels. I got lucky no busted their heels.
I was ask to go photography a going away party. These gave me a chance to work on my skills. I had a chance to use my portable studio kit a give a great way for everyone to feel like stars. Here are some images that a not edits.
For Christmas I want to a long time family friend home to enjoy the holidays. While I was their we got to enjoy ourselves. Some of the best thing that we did was play with the little ones. Make joke's with each other or just house-play. Now that we are getting to that stage of being connected is spending the right time with each other. We got to spend it with fun people. The theme has always been family if you got drafted into the family or born into the family. Once you come into the Rutland family you stay for life. It does not matter where you go we will always be here door open and good ole messing around
As I was working as a sports photographer I would often get bored while the games in progress. Most often i would take photo of the players on the school team as I had time. It was a way for me to capture the none moments that I would see around me of the sports world. Many of the players would see me next to them and i would just take their photos. I was luck to get the access because I work with the department that want Photos of them playing sports but not the other moments.
It didn't help that the boss say he didn't know what a good photograph was. Which was kinda of a bummer for me because I had to look to myself and see what was a good photograph. I also had to use the web to see how to photograph the sports I covered. It gave me the chance to take tons of photos and pair it down. I had to over shoot the games to get these moments and the other thing I did was to speak to these Athletes and they would see them self in a different way. this what would take until they figured it out.

I stop at a local Bar that I have known for many years. I saw a few people dress up for Halloween. I order my drink and i ask the two bartenders if it was ok to photograph them in their costumes.. When I was photographing them i use an off camera flash. That allowed me to the freedom to bounce the light off of the ceiling so i could light my subject well. Inside the this bar i had a low light situation, so to make many of the people look well i had to pull back more then i would like. The camera was set at an F stop of about 5.6 While the shutter speed was at a 1/125 of a second. I also try to make sure that i get layers in most of my photographs i have the many subject in the forefront some of the time i also try to have some background action. this give the viewer the eyes a way to move round the picture plane.
These are some of the results that i got.

This was the work that i did for my project thesis work with the mayor when he was running for mayor. these are the photographs that been i presented as my final works.
The Run for New Bedford
I have made a series of photographs documenting Jon Mitchell’s successful run for mayor of New Bedford. In this work I have attempted to explore the political process on a local level.
Jon Mitchell was raised in New Bedford and North Dartmouth and graduated from Dartmouth High School. He attended Harvard University, earning a B.A. degree in Economics. He then attended Georgetown University Law School where he served with The Judge Advocate General’s Corps, which is the legal branch or specialty of a military concerned with military justice and military law. Following this he worked as a federal prosecutor in the United States Department of Justice.
While following Mr. Mitchell to many of his campaign events I witnessed the hard work, public presentation, strategy sessions, and downtime that go on in the daily life of a candidate campaigning for public office and after the election.
I was able to photograph Jon Mitchell in this transitional period, as he became the new mayor of a small but historically important city on the south coast of New England.
I was able to make images of the mayor-elect as he held meetings with other elected public officials of New Bedford, as he acknowledged well wishers upon his successful campaign, as he greeted and spoke with the public, as well as his inauguration ceremony as mayor of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
His goals are to make New Bedford the vibrant city it once was. With the issue of public education I have witnessed and photographed the mayor addressing the question of whether the state should take over the public school systems. Mayor Mitchell held public forums where parents could voice their issues and offer suggestions.
In his new role, Mayor Mitchell frequently attends cultural events and the openings of small businesses. The major goal of the mayor and his officials is to improving the state of the economy of New Bedford, and I am interested in observing how this happens.
These are two photographs that i took. The skateboard trick was taken many years back. While i was learning how to take good photographs.
